Prayer is your personal communication with God. There is always a moment to pray. When you start your day , when you end it or any point throughout the day when you want to take it to God. If you ask me , when ever you get a second , give it to him . Whether it be worship, Needing him or even just to give thanks or praise to your Heavenly Father.
If prayer is not something you understand yet then start by saying the Lords Prayer whenever you get a chance to. It will help you connect with him and learn prayer point to begin with. I’m going to include it here for you :
Our Father, which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, As it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory, For ever and ever. Amen.
